I’ve got some little screws in a product that I added a slight bit of rounding to, and it looks fine in the live view, but when I render it out at a much larger size (5k x 5k pixels at 300dpi) the rounding effect is way overdone and cranked up. How do we attach images to posts? I don’t see an option.
Hey Matt, in the text window there’s an icon for uploading. You can upload images using that. You should also be able to just drag and drop and image in.
Interesting. The formatting toolbar shows when replying to a topic, but not when creating a new one. Might be something with my browser. Anyway, I’ll post the images in my next reply.
Did you check the scale of the screws?
edit: I just checked it myself, the scale is automatically applied when importing to KeyShot. But the size of the rounded corners is way to big in your render, so I thought it could have been something with the scale.
I was trying to reproduce the issue but can’t get it. What happens if you change the scale of everything like 10x or 100x and render? Don’t play with it with your original file but with a backup Thought maybe it’s because the screws are so tiny something gets loss at the point of rendering.
I’ll go back and check the scaling of the screws, that might be something. I have moved onto another last minute asap needed yesterday project, so ill look later when I have the time, and I’ll pay more attention to it when i render the next one. Its happened before, randomly, so it might be a factor of the CAD files I’m importing, our drafters are pretty horrible at keeping scaling consistent.
